For a network to work efficiently and effectively, following criteria's

must be met .
a. Performance
b. Reliability
c. Security

Performance of a network is governed by the following:

a. Number of users
b. Transmission media
c. Hardware
d. Software

Reliability of Network is governed by Frequency of failure, Recovery

Networks
We have seen till now as what communication is
and the components involved.
In communication how data flows.
Summarizing , a network is a set of devices
(often referred to as nodes) connected by
communication links.
A node can be a computer, printer, or any other
device capable of sending and/or receiving data
generated by other nodes on the network.
