Officer Timothy Stach will be suspended without pay after being charged with
several counts of felony theft. An investigation revealed that on several dates in
2015, Officer Stach had overtime slips signed by a representative of the courts for time that he did not actually work. As a result of the investigation, Officer Stach was charged on September 30, 2015. Another officer involved in this case was not criminally charged. That officers disciplinary matters will be handled by the Office of Professional Responsibility. I and other police officers have no tolerance for theft within our profession, said Baltimore Police Department Interim Commissioner Kevin Davis. When acts of criminal misconduct occur, we will continue to move quickly to ensure public trust and confidence are not interrupted by the conduct of a singular individual.
