suppliers for it inventory acquisition. Moreover, capacity to meet demand, proximity
and prices are also considered in the selection process.
Dizon Farms as Chipotles vegetables and spices supplier. Operating for
more than 50 years, Dizon Farms has already established strong relationships with
growers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Apart from this, Dizon Group of
companies presently owns farms in Davao, Pampanga and Mindoro Occidental. It
currently offers more than 200 variety of vegetables sourced from local and foreign
growers. As part of its core values, it supports sustainable agriculture by using
farming techniques that uphold environmental stewardship through conservation,
recycling and waste reduction which are in line with Chipotles core values.
Currently, it has established aggressive quality controls, refrigerated and nonrefrigerated storage facilities to ensure high quality produce. It is equipped with
more than 80 delivery trucks to deliver food products to different retail channels
nationwide.
DownToEarth as meat supplier. Just like Chipotle, DownToEarth is committed to
high standards of sustainability and quality. It raises local grass-fed cattle and freerange, pasture-raised livestock and poultry. It boasts of its biodynamic farming, an
approach similar to organic farming but with greater focus on maintaining a healthy
farm ecosystem. DownToEarth owns a farm in Bukidnon and extends its reach
through its Makati branch and partners such as Salcedo and Maras Organic Market.
It is also open for partnership with trade customers which include cafes and
restaurants.
