IntroductionGauge student prior knowledge of by completing first column of ANCAZ
Centenary KWL Chart. (What I know about the ANZAC Centenary).

Discuss this information as a class. Ask probing questions.

Evaluation/Assessment
Go through the ANZAC comprehension as a class.
Gauge Students level of understanding. (Lesson ties into Symbols of War
history lesson)
Additional work students to complete Australian and New Zealand Army
Corps picture or draw their own title page.

Reflection:

Good lesson. The children had a basic knowledge of

some aspects of why we celebrate ANZAC day and the ANZAC's.
