Dear Students of the Purchase Conservatory of Music,

I recently handed around a petition to have the HVAC system fixed in the
music building as the dry air causes multiple problems with instruments
during the winter and the very hot climate of some rooms makes it hard to
focus and practice. Earlier today, I gave the petition of 100 signatures to the
dean of the school of arts, Ravi S. Rajan. He informed me that there is currently
a project going on with the state to work on getting the funds to have the HVAC
system repaired. I have been told that having this done is a 33 million dollar project
which explains why this is having a hard time getting done. It is important for the
students of the conservatory to realize that efforts are being made to have this
issue solved.
