I'm a student composer wishing to write a "Fantasy on a Theme of Benjamin Britten," for cello and piano. The excerpt I would like to
use as a basis for this piece is the opening of the last movement (Sonetto XXIV), i.e. all of p. 26, and the first system of p. 27. I
wouldn't be so much arranging the music so much as using it as a springboard for my own ideas.
