Clarke University has introduced The New Clarke Fund to allow donors to designate their donations to specific areas of interest. The fund supports six academic and student enrichment areas, including graphic design, health sciences, natural sciences, arts at Clarke, athletics and campus ministry. Donors may also give to the annual fund or other fields. The new fund aims to create a more donor-centric environment by letting donors direct their support. Donations can be made through the student-run phonathon, fall/spring appeal letters, or online.

Clarke University Introduces a New Way to Give Your Way.
DUBUQUE, Iowa Clarke University is giving friends, alumni, and family a new way to donate to the university. The New Clarke Fund, introduced this year, allows donors to designate their funds to an area they wish to support. The fund has identified six areas of The New Clarke Fund. Three academic areas include graphic design, health sciences and natural sciences. The other three areas are student enrichment fields that include the arts at Clarke, athletics and campus ministry. But these are just a few areas; donors can always give to the annual fund or other fields. National trends demonstrate that donors have an increased desire to be actively involved in the giving process. The New Clarke Fund helps to create a donor-centric environment by allowing donors to tell us what is most meaningful to them and inspires new donors to make gifts to Clarke because they are able to see the direct benefits of their support, said Courtney Crites, director of annual funds. There are many ways to support the annual fund. The phonathons is run by student callers who call alums, parents, and friends. This form of fundraising makes it quick and more personal than just sending out a letter. Another form is through the fall and spring appeal which is a letter sent through the mail. This gives people a chance to sit down and think about what they want to give. And a final way to give is always through online at http://www.clarke.edu/form.aspx?ekfrm=20747. Clarke University is a Catholic, liberal arts and sciences university dedicated to preparing students who positively impact their workplace, family and community.
