Parents beginning on Monday, October 19th the PTO is offering a four (4) week, Math Enrichment

Program (MEP) that challenges our students to practice problem solving skills at home.

This is a voluntary participation program. Parent/Student participation is encouraged.

The MEP program begins October 19th and ends on November 15th

Student Incentives/Rewards:

A weekly 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

place prize will be given
to that student in each
grade (K 5) that logs the
most total minutes during
each individual week.

A Math game party will

be provided to each
grade (one winning class
per grade) that has the
highest MEP participation
score.

Each student will earn 1

ticket for every 300
minutes logged that will
be entered into a drawing
for a special prize.

Math Practice:
It is recommended that you have your child practice math at the IXL website. Using this website allows
the teachers then to see your childs efforts. Please sign in using your childs user name and password
(that was provided by your teacher at the beginning of the school year).

MEP Time Tracking Website:
Please help us track your childs weekly TOTAL time! Log in each week on Sunday and record the total
time your child practiced math at home on the following website:
https://sites.google.com/site/emmonsmath/home
Alternatively, return the weekly log form via backpack on Mondays for us to log in your childs time.
IF you do not have computer access at home, the PTO can provide worksheets for your child to
participate in MEP. Return the slip below and we will provide worksheets on Mondays via backpack
mail. Again this is only for households that do not have computers to access the internet or to print
worksheets.
