We slowly fill the WVSU Cultural Center, there is a show waiting for
us showcasing different dances of different cultures .Irong Irong Dance
Company keep our eyes focus to them. They started the show with some
ethnic dance kind of new to see the first dance .They keep occupying the
center stage as we the viewers stay in our own position. One by one they
presented different dances with different rhythm, color mode and theme.
There dances came from the simplest to the difficult one. As they dance
gracefully we somehow came to ponder how our folk dance performance
is.Also somehow at the back of my mind I was wishing I can also dance
like that. Graceful, talented, flexible and contented. My favorite dance
that afternoon is the Singkil the moment they started moving their hands,
step their feet avoiding the props below. The woman presented
themselves as a modest and a high class woman on the other hand the
man showcased the strong and awesome side of them. Well except to the
part when most of the dancers are gays. Hardly even to track who is the
student much likely the teachers and the mentors of the company. To
what they did really shows the passion to dance and music. They also
made a small contest by giving the best hash tag of the show but I guess
luck is not on my side that time.
We left the WVSU Cultural Center with a big smile and an amazing
feeling .It became an eye opener to most of the audience that included
me. Even though part of my concentration is on the reviewing mode I
obviously enjoyed it. Im looking forward to their future performances
.They have an awesome team rhat can compete worldwide.Job well done
and a thumbs up for you.
