Read Me First
For Windows NT 3.51
1. Obtain the Microsoft software disk or CD ROM that contains
Windows NT 3.51 software.
2. From the Main group of the Program Manager, click the Print
Manager.
3. Click on the Printer menu and select Create Printer.
4 In the Printer Name field, enter a name for the printer. Then,
from the Driver list, select your printer, HP LaserJet 5L for the
HP LaserJet 6L. Click OK.
5. Continue to follow the instructions on the screens.

For Windows NT 4.0


When you add paper, remove
and realign all paper before
reloading.

Tighten the paper guides


every time you load paper.

1. Obtain the Microsoft software disk or CD ROM that contains


Windows NT 4.0 software.
2. From the Taskbar, click Start, then Settings, then Printers.
3. The Printers folder will appear. Click Add Printer.
4. Follow the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard.
5. When asked about Manufacturer, select Hewlett-Packard from the
list. Then, select the printer by clicking HP LaserJet 5L for an HP
LaserJet 6L. Select Next.
6. Continue to follow the instructions on the screens.

input and output supports.
