Perkembangan dan kepesatan pembangunan negara telah memberi impak yang

sangat besar kepada rakyat dalam pelbagai aspek. Salah satu aspek yang ketara ialah
peningkatan kadar pengangkutan darat khususnya penggunaan kenderaan bermotor
seperti kereta, lori, motorsikal dan seumpamanya. Penggunaan kenderaan-kenderaan ini
memerlukan penggunanya memiliki lesen memandu yang sah di sisi undang-undang.
Bagi mendapatkan lesen-lesen ini, pengguna perlu menjalani beberapa prosedur atau
ujian. Dengan penggunaan lesen tersebut, ini bermakna cuma pengguna yang memiliki
lesen yang dapat mengendalikan kenderaan di jalan raya. Walau bagaimanapun beberapa
langkah yang perlu diambil untuk mendapatkan lesen berkenaan.
Menurut institut memandu Surfine Hi Tech 2010 seseorang yang ingin
mendapatkan lesen, beliau perlu memastikan had umurnya mencapai had kelayakan
untuk mengambil lesen. Bagi lesen motorsikal had umurnya ialah 16 tahun manakala
lesen kereta pula 17 ialah tahun. Kedua-duanya mesti genap mengikut tarikh lahir atau
hari lahir.
Sekiranya had umur layak, beliau hendaklah mendaftar dengan sekolah memandu
yang sah untuk mendapatkan lesen.

Dalam proses pendaftaran beberapa dokumen

diperlukan seperti sesalinan kad pengenalan, 2 keping gambar serta bayaran deposit.
Setelah proses pendaftaran selesai, beberapa kursus perlu diikuti bagi mendapatkan lesen.
Kursus-kursus tersebut ialah:
i.

Kursus 5 jam KPP ( Kursus Pendidikan Pemandu )

ii.

Ujian undang-undang berkomputer ( perlu lulus sebelum kursus

seterusnya)

iii.

Ujian PRA L ( teori 3 jam , amali 3 jam

iv.

Ujian Pra Kelayakan atau Q.T.I

v.

Ujian Pratikal Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan

Dalam kursus 5 jam ( KPP ), seseorang perlu berpakaian kemas seperti memakai
baju berkolar, berseluar panjang bagi lelaki, bagi perempuan mestilah berpakaian kemas
dan mesti berkasut setiap kali menghadiri kursus / kelas memandu. Setelah tamat, sijil
kursus akan diserahkan dan sijil berkenaan sah laku cuma dalam tempoh satu tahun.

Setelah 2 hari tamat menghadiri kursus KPP, seseorang dibolehkan menduduki

ujian undang-undang berkomputer di pusat sekolah memandu. Dalam ujian ini markah
lulus ialah 42 / 50. Seseorang perlu lulus bagi melayakkan untuk menduduki kelas PRA
L.

Sekiranya seseorang itu gagal, dia perlu menduduki semula sehingga lulus.

Kebiasaannya untuk mengulang, seseorang dikenakan surcaj bayaran sebanyak RM50.00

untuk menduduki semula. Sekiranya seseorang itu lulus sijil keputusan akan diberikan
dan hanya sah satu tahun juga.
Setelah lulus ujian berkomputer, seseorang perlu menghadiri kursus PRA L iaitu
secara teori selama 3 jam dan amali selama 3 jam. Setelah tamat kursus ini, seseorang itu
akan dapat lesen L kira-kira seminggu menghadiri kursus ini. Setelah mendapat lesen L,
seseorang sudah layak untuk belajar secara pratikal memandu sama ada kereta atau
motorsikal. Bagi lesen L motorsikal, seseorang sudah boleh memandu di jalan raya
secara berseorangan dengan melekatkan tanda L di kenderaan motorsikal tersebut.
Bagi lesen L kereta pula, seseorang boleh belajar memandu daripada pengajar yang
mempunyai sijil pengajar sahaja. Latihan memandu biasanya 8 atau 10 jam digunakan.
Bagi belajar memandu motorsikal, seseorang perlu belajar membuat pusingan 8, titi,
halangan kon, brek kecemasan, dan jalan raya. Semuanya dijalankan di litar motorsikal
yang disediakan oleh institut memandu. Manakala bagi lesen kereta pula, seseorang
perlu belajar mendaki bukit, side parking, 3 penjuru, dan jalan raya. Semuanya diajar
di litar kecuali jalan raya diajar di jalan raya sebenar.
Seterusnya, Ujian PRA atau Q.T.I akan dijalankan untuk menguji seseorang itu
benar-benar sudah boleh memandu dengan baik atau sebaliknya. Sekiranya gagal dalam
ujian ini, pengajar atau penguji akan mencadangan seseorang itu untuk belajar semula
sebelum diuji semula. Sekiranya lulus ujian ini, tarikh untuk ujian Pratikal Jabatan
Pengangkutan Jalan boleh ditempah.
Dalam ujian Pratikal JPJ, seseorang akan diuji oleh pihak JPJ. Terdapat dua
bahagian iaitu litar dan jalan raya sebenar. Seseorang perlu lulus kedua-duanya bagi
membolehkan untuk mendapat lesen P. Sekiranya gagal seseorang akan dikehendaki
mengambil semula dengan bayaran tertentu. Setelah lulus ujian JPJ, beberapa butir
dokumen yang perlu diserahkan kepada sekolah memandu untuk mendapatkan lesen
memandu P. Berikut ialah butir butir dokumen yang diperlukan.

i.

1 keping gambar pemilik lesen.

ii.

1 kepinhg salina fotostat MYKAD atau kad pengenalan.

iii.

1 keping salinan Lesen L

iv.

Bayaran lesen.

Setelah mendapatkan lesen L, seseorang dengan sahnya dapat memandu

kenderaan di jalan raya mengikut kelas lesennya. B2 untuk motorsikal, manakala D
untuk kereta. Dengan penggunaan lesen ini, seseorang itu perlu mengikuti peraturanperaturan jalan raya yang sedia ada.

particularly the use of motor vehicles such as cars, trucks, motorcycles and the like. The
use of these vehicles requires the user have a valid driving license law. To obtain these
licenses, the user must undergo the procedure or test. With the use of the license, this
means that only users who have a license can operate the vehicle on the road. However,
the step to be taken to obtained the license.
According to the driving institute Surfine Hi Tech 2010 a person who wants a
license, he must ensure that reached the qualifying age limit for taking a license. For
motorcycle license age limit is 16 years while for car license 17 is the year. Both must be
completed by date of birth or birthday.
If the eligible age limit, he must register with a valid driving school to obtain a
license. During the registration process required several documents such as a copy of
identity card, two photographs and a deposit. After the registration process is complete,
some courses should be followed to obtain a license. The courses are:
i. Course 5 hours KPP (Driver Education course)
ii. Computerized legal test (must be passed before the next course)
iii. PRE-L tests (theory 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours
iv. Pre-Qualification Test or Q.T.I
v. Practical test of the Road Transport Department
In the course of 5 hours (KPP), a person should dress appropriately by wearing
collared shirts, long pants for men, for women must dress appropriately and must be shod
every time attending courses / driving class. Upon completion, the certificate courses will
be delivered and that the certificate is valid only within one year.
After 2 days expire attend PAC, one is allowed to sit for computerized legal test in
driving school center. In this test, the passing mark is 42/50. A person must pass to

qualify to sit for PRA class L. If a person fails, he should sit back until they pass.
Normally, to repeat, a surcharge fee of RM50.00 to sit again. If a person passed the
certification decision will be given and is valid one year as well.
After passing the test data, one must attend L PRE course of theoretical and
practical work for 3 hours for 3 hours. After completing this course, a person will be able
to license L for about a week to attend this course. After getting the license L, a person is
entitled to learn in practical driving the car or motorcycle. For L motorcycle license, a
person can drive on the road alone by attaching an "L" in the motorcycle vehicle. For L
license for car, one can learn to drive from instructors with teaching certificates only.
Driving training is usually 8 or 10 hours of use. To learn to drive a motorcycle, one must
learn to round 8, bridge, barrier cones, emergency brake, and roads. Everything is done in
a circuit provided by the Institute of motorcycle driving. While for a car license, the
person must learn to climb the hill, "side parking", 3 sides, and roads. Everything is
taught in the circuit except the road taught in the actual road.
Furthermore, PRA or QTI test will be conducted to test a person really can drive
well or badly. If we fail in this test, the instructor or examiner will recommend a person
to learn it again before testing again. If they pass this test, practical test date to the Road
Transport Department can be booked.
In the practical test RTD, one will be tested by the RTD. There are two parts of
the circuit and the actual road. A person must pass both to allow for a license P. If you
failed one will be required to collect a fee. After passing the test RTD, some details of
documents to be submitted to the driving school to obtain a driving license "P". Here are
the details of the required documents.
i. A photograph of the license owner.
ii. 1 slices of photocopies of MyKad or identity card.
iii. A license copies of L
iv. License feed.

Once a license is P, one can lawfully drive vehicles on the road with the class of
license. B2 for motorcycles, while D to car. By use of this license, one must follow the
rules of the existing road.
