Design Parameters:The following parameters were considered in dead load

calculations:
- Plaster thickness on walls (each face) = 25 mm
- Plaster thickness of ceiling = 20 mm
- Undefined location of Partition load reduction factor = 0.33
- Height of partition = 3 m
- Thickness of shear wall = 0.3 m
- Total thickness of tiles, mortar and fill = 0.15 m

2.3 Dead load calculation:-

One way ribbed slab

1- Total dead load D

= 10.95 KN/m2

2- Live load (according to Jordanian code for loads and

forces) = 2 KN/m2

3- Total factored load:

Wu = 1.2 D + 1.6 L
Wu= 1.2 10.95 + 1.6 2 = 16.34 KN/m2
