Banday Family of Kalamula (UPTADED INFORMATION)

History and Background

This is a Kashmiri family and according to various traditions
Srinagar (the capital of Kashmir) is the ancestral home of this family. Traditionally most of the family members
were dealing in various businesses. Some members of this family migrated from Dargah-Hazrat Bal (Srinagar)
to khanpora and then Namla (Uri).
One of the chief of this family was Pir Joo (Joo is a respectable title among kashmiris). From his descendants
were Khalil Joo and Ahmad Joo who were resident of Namla(Uri). Another descendant Ali Joo went to
Kalamula (Poonch Jageer) for purpose of business and after married their completely settle and bought so
many land and other property which is also inherited by family till now.
This family holds relationship with honorable families of Poonch as Ganai family (Haji bal Poonch, Tashana)
other then this Dar family, Handoo family of Kalamula and Chalkoi.
Now family is settled in different parts of Ajk and Pakistan including kalamula,Farward kahuta,Muzaffarabad
and Rawalpindi etc.
Well known persons of family so called Khawaja Habib-ul-Allah Banday(late revenue officer),Khawaja Abdul
Khaliq Banday(Ex Assistant Commissioner),Khawaja Muhammad Naseem(Famous advocate of high court
supreme court Ajk),Javed Iqbal (Advocate high court Islamabad),Khawaja Muhammad Mateen (Head
Master),Rizwan Banday(Income tax officer Mirpur)Professor Dr. Khawaja Muhammad Basharat(Ajk
university),Zafar Iqbal Banday(Lecture at Govt college mirpur),Khawaja Azhar Mateen(Software Engr Ajk
university) are the renound persons.
Other so many students are in medical and engineering pipe line some are also abroad for study purpose.
