Example:
Different Signs
3) (-2) + (5) = 3
4) (7) + (-9) = -2
Subtracting Integers
When subtracting integers use Same Flip Flip
then SADS.
Same- keep the sign of the first number
Flip- change the minus to plus
Flip change the sign of the second number
Then
Same sign

Examples
Subtracting Integers
1) -3 1
= -3 + (-1)
= -4
3) -1 (-8)
= -1 + 8
=7
2) 5- (-2)
=5+2
=7
4) 4-1
=3
Multiplying Integers
If the signs are the same your answer will
be POSITIVE!
If the signs are different your answer will be
NEGATIVE!
Examples:
1) 3 3 = 9
2) (-3) (-3) = 9
Examples:
3) 3 (-3) = -9
4) (-3) (3) = -9
Dividing Integers
If the signs are the same your answer will
be POSITIVE!
If the signs are different your answer will be
NEGATIVE!
Examples:
1) 25 5= 5
2) (-25) (-5) = 5
Examples:
3) -25 5 = -5
4) 25 (-5) = -5
