Should young Men and Women Attend College

Together?

Intro:
There are some problems and benefits of studying
separately and together, but in some colleges in
the UAE, men and women are educated together.

Body1:
There are some reasons why male and female
students should be educated separately. They
believe that if together, the students will be
focusing on each other instead of learning and if
they are taught in the same class, the men or
women may not understand the topic fully also,
women dont get heard as much as the men, and
the womens participation in class activities drops.
Another reason that some people give is that
young men and women will not be able to

concentrate on their studies if they are in the same

classrooms. However, in most colleges, male and
female students study separately. Finally, some
people say that the women suffer more in mixed
environments but on the other hand, there are
many strong reasons why college should be
coeducational (men and women together).

Body2:
If we allow our students to learn together, the
result will be better graduates, workers and
partners. In the first place, its good preparation for
the real world. Secondly, it allows us to learn
different ways of thinking the result can be better
project work because, when people start working,
women will work side-by-side with men. Men and
women have complementary (they balance each
other) learning styles, this means males may be
better at learning information from reading and
researching while females might be better at
learning information from discussions and lectures.

However, in most colleges, male and female

students study separately.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, some people are afraid that
educating men and women together can lead to
lower grades, especially for women however, I
believe it will be better for their future jobs and
make their time at college more enjoyable in fact,
all of the students may even be more interested in
college. And nowadays, very few companies have
women-only or men-only departments. Finally,
while its true that young men and women will be
interested in each other, this does not mean that
their grades will suffer or they will stop
concentrating.
