INTRODUCTION
Have you ever wondered whats a marbles velocity? Our project what was about testing
the marbles velocity. We would need to see how far the marble travels(speed), and how
fast it takes to reach the approximate time given. There would be two ways to get the
data needed: Adjust the hockey stick used from an angle and from it just being flat.

HYPOTHESIS
I contradict that the majority of the angles time will not reach 1 second until 80
centimeters. For the flats time, it will reach 1 second within 40 centimeters.

PROCEDURE
The materials used in this project were the following: marble, hockey stick, physics stick,
photogate, and a stop-watch. First, we set up the hockey stick to a certain angle with it
being screwed onto the physics stick, so we could find the angles time. Next, we set up
the photogate at the correct spots needed. Afterwards, we let go of the marble from the
top, and allowed it to accelerate down the stick. Once we recorded the data for the angle,

we began to measure its time being flat surfaced. As before, we set up the photogate to
its correct spot, then allowed the ball to do the work. When this step was completed, we
recorded the marbles flat time. Finally, we solved each of the 2 tables velocities by using
the formula (Velocity = Distance/Time = 1.19cm/marbles time)

CONCLUSION
What do the numbers in these graphs really mean? Well, these numbers represent
basically the velocity of the marble. The slope of the line was not found, because there
wasnt enough time given to find it. Therefore, I dont know what it means. I also dont
know if the percent was correct due to the lack of time.
