Village Concept Project: Education, Entrepreneur, and Environmental

The IAAS LC UBs Village Concept Project launch event was held at Panjaitan RT 05
RW 06 Malang on 23 March 2014 with a theme Youth Role Doing Community Service
Through Education, Entrepreneur, and Environmental Issues. The event opened with words
from the Chief of the village Pak Anto and was followed by a warm welcome by VCPs Project
Officer Arif and an introduction of Village Concept Project by IAAS LC UBs LCD Mulyani,
who explained the main objectives of the project and how to get involved. There were also our
corperative partner in running the similar project, who pointed out their enthusiam on launching
their project. The event had an excellent turn out, almost every child in the community came to
show their enthusiasm upon this project. What really attracted them was the event contained with
not only formal speeches and introductions from both parties but also fun activities such as
games, ice breaking, paper whises time, and chicken dance performance! We were also pleased
to have the mothers from the community coming to this launch event. Later on, the first Village
Concept Project is to be started on Sunday, 30th March 2014 which will be filled with fun-yeteducating activities for children age 4 15 and an entrepreneurial activities for the mothers.
