What is Scrum?

Overview
Scrum is an Agile framework for
completing complex projects.
Defines an iterative process with set
roles:
Product Owner (Owns product backlog)
Scrum Master (Keeps team focused on
its goal)
Development Team (Responsible for
carrying out the work

Product Backlog
List of prioritised user stories
containing bytesize chunks of work
Divided down into Sprint Backlogs
which is the measurement of work to
be done during each Sprint

Definition of Done
Necessary to be defined by Scrum
Teams so there is a shared
knowledge of when a process has
been completed effectively

Incrementation
Each Sprint represents one
increment of functionality to a
product/service
Once one iteration has been
completed a review and
retrospective will take place
Allows the team to learn from
mistakes and improve efficiency
Increment may be part of/a
contained release

Ceremonies
Various meetings as part of Scrum
aiding communication/transparency
& knowledge sharing
Daily Standup
Sprint Refinement
Sprint Retrospective
Sprint Commit
Show & Tell
