Kindergarten Monday Memo

Week of October 12th

Homework
: Sight word worksheets, nightly reading (please record each night on reading log),
Black Math Practice book Reteach and Practice pages for lessons 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3 (both sides),
and SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, and Sight Words) reading
practice. SIPPS leveled reading practice page will come home on Tuesdays.
Folders are due on
Thursday
! Reading logs returned on
MONDAYS,
not in Homework Folder on Thursdays.

Pumpkin Patch:
Next week is our field trip to the pumpkin patch. Please
remember to send a $7.00 cash donation to your childs teacher in an envelope
with your childs name on it. Parents accompanying the class must also make a
$2.00 cash donation to La Verne Heritage Foundation.
SIPPs Reading Program
Students have been regrouped for our reading program
based on their academic needs. They will be working with one of the four
kindergarten teachers three days a week in leveled reading groups.
