Erasmus+

The new new EU program for Education, Training, Youth and Sports entitled:
Erasmus+ which aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernizing
Education, Training, and Youth work. The seven year program (for 2014-2020) will
have a budget of 14.7 billion; a 40% increase compared to current spending
levels, reflecting the EU's commitment to investing in these areas.
Erasmus+ will support transnational partnerships and will offer more opportunities
for cooperation across these areas and will be easier to access than its
predecessors, with simplified funding rules.
Erasmus+ is structured over the following 3 Key Actions in addition to some specific
Jean Monnet activities.

Action 1: Learning Mobility for Individuals

Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and good practices

Action 3: Support to policy reforms

Lebanese Higher Education Institutions and stakeholders will benefit from many
opportunities for international cooperation provided as follows under each of these
3 Key Actions:

Credit Mobility, Joint Master Degrees.(under Action 1)

Capacity Building in the field of higher education (under Action 2)

National Erasmus+ Offices, Higher Education Reform Experts, Publications,


Studies, Events (under Action 3)

Jean Monnet activities

Deadline for Capacity Building projects: 10 February 2015
Deadline for Jean Monnet projects: 26 February 2015
Deadline for Credit Mobility projects and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees: 4
