Our Love Will Never

Die
Alex GIlbey

OUTLINE

TITLE/SYNOPSIS

Our Love Will Never Die I feel fits well with the plot
and the ending of the story. Giving a brief insight
into the story.

This drama involves two characters in love who are

fighting a battle in order to keep their family
together. With the husband diagnosed with cancer
this is proven to be difficult. Our love will never die
follows the story of this couple.

FORMAT

Single drama these tend to be a re-enactment of real life events.

Often these sorts of events would be television broadcasted rather
than the cinema audience.

30 minute long episode

I will be recording the first 5 minutes of the episode

Other single dramas include: MY MURDER broadcasted for 1 hour in

2012

NARRATIVE
STRUCTURE

Genre: Romantic drama, my drama fits well to this as the

main focus is two peoples love between one another.

Non-linear, realist: I am incorporating flashback in my

drama making it follow a non-linear structure. I feel
flashbacks give a real sense of emotion and add depth to
the story as we see the end at the start.

The realist plot I hope will make it easy for the audience to
not only follow but somewhat relate to.

NARRATIVE
STRUCTURE

BBC Radio 4 & BBC Radio 2

TARGET AUDIENCE

Similar to BBC Radio 4 & 2

All age groups and gender above 30/35,

interested in relist plots

For example: THE ARCHERS, aired on BBC

Radio 4

TARGET AUDIENCE

Romantic drama therefore expectations would be: a problem

in the relationship that needs to be over come, a long history
between the couple, characters that are relatable as it is a
relatable issue.

My characters are everyday people who I feel will connect

with the audience

ACTORS

Louise: Danni Sanger

Mathew: Ruairidh Jonston

I have pick these people to portray the roles as I feel they

would put the right amount of emotion and depth into the
characters. As well as become connected to them in order
to make give off the right impression.

SOUND EFFECTS

Due to realist plot I dont need wacky sound

effects.

Simple everyday sound effects: door closing,

feet walking, street noises etc.

BUDGET

1 hour in studio - 20,000

5 minute snippet - 10,000 (30 minutes in studio)

Actors- 1000 per actor x2

Studio hire- 30 per hour

Equipment included in studio hire

Total expenses - 2030

INSPIRATION

THE BLIND MANS CONFESSION:

1.

Incorporates flashback

2.

Despite the fact it is post-modern and mine is

traditional I feel this technique could work
well in a traditional as it adds depth.

WHY MY DRAMA?

With the right funding my drama can be successful in

showing an accurate portrayal of life in this
circumstance. Our Love Will Never Die will achieve in
reaching out to the target audience therefore attracting
the correct demographic boosting listener ratings.
