B. The Characters :

Tintin : Hard worker,neutral, intelligent and creative.


Snowy : faithful with Tintin and fearless
Captain Haddock : Haddock is initially depicted as a weak and alcoholic
character, but later evolves to become genuinely heroic and even a socialite
after he finds a treasure from his ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock.
Proffessor Curtberth : an absent-minded and half-deaf physicist, Normally
mild-mannered and dignified.
Thomson and Thompson : two incompetent detectives. Afflicted with chronic
spoonerisms, extremely clumsy, thoroughly incompetent, and usually bent on
arresting the wrong character.
Bianca Castafiore : She is comically foolish, whimsical, absent-minded, and
talkative, and seems unaware that her voice is shrill and appallingly loud
Red Rackham : the bad pirate who attack the unicorn

C. General Structure

After having a caricature drawn of himself by


a local artist, Tintin wanders through the
town square. As he does so, he sees a

local merchant. The miniature ship is called


The Unicorn, and the merchant tells Tintin it
was procured from an old sailor's estate sale.
But is then accosted by Barnaby and Ivan
Ivanovitch Sakharine who both unsuccesfully
try to buy the model from Tintin.

Sakharine angry. Then, Sakharine ordered to
his bodyguard to brought Tintin to
Karaboudjan by boat. On the boat, Tintin
encounters Captain Hddock.
Finally, Tintin get the third letter of The
Unicorn . Haddock presses the tiny island on
the globe, and it comes apart, revealing Red
Rackham's treasure in it, along with Sir
Francis' hat. As the captain wears the hat and
says it's all over, Tintin finds another clue at
the bottom of the hollow globe, with a clue to
where the remaining treasure is located.
Thus, Tintin and Haddock prepare for their
next great adventure.
