Dear Friend,
In continuing our commitment for the safety of our city, the Richardson Police Department
is working again this year with the National Drug & Safety League and National Child Safety
Council to provide handout materials for our children and community members. We feel these
materials have been extremely effective and well received in Richardson.
important to continue educating our children and community with accurate facts and
information if we are to stay safe and drug free. The materials we have selected include 24
page activity manuals, brochures, pamphlets, and many other teaching aids. A broad range
of topics are addressed in these materials including internet safety, peer pressure, bullying,
violence prevention, drug education, safety for seniors, and neighborhood safety among others.
We will distribute these materials as we conduct presentations in our schools, churches, safety
fairs and other community events throughout Richardson. As you know, these are priceless
opportunities for our youth & community to interact with officers on a personal level.
‘We are asking for your support and donation to help cover the cost of the materials we will be
using in our crime prevention efforts. All donations are tax deductible and a donation form
is attached for your convenience. In appreciation for your generosity your name or business
name will be listed on the materials distributed throughout our community.
Please accept my sincere appreciation and thanks for your support. Through our partnership
we will be able to work toward our goal of providing a safer community for all our citizens. If
you have any questions or need additional information please contact Sgt. Roger Steinman of
the Crime Prevention Unit at (972) 744-4762.
Respectfully,
Chief of Police
