Enclosed is your new NX I-deas 5 release!
This release of NX I-deas 5 pairs with the NX 5 release to provide license sharing,
matched platform operating requirements, and interoperability. NX I-deas 5, working in
conjunction with Teamcenter Integration for I-deas 5.0.2, contains a number of
enhancements for improving the use of Teamcenter Engineering with I-deas.
All these capabilities support the strategic objective of the Evolution of Excellence
program: to successfully migrate from the I-deas environment to the NX environment,
while preserving the investment and intellectual capital contained in your I-deas data, and
while maintaining continuity in your workflows.
Additionally, NX I-deas 5 works to satisfy the tactical objective of the Evolution of
Excellence program: to continue to provide robust, high quality I-deas software that
drives productivity improvements for your product development. NX I-deas 5 contains
enhancements throughout I-deas Modeling, Assembly, 3D Annotation, and Drafting.
We at Siemens UGS PLM Software are excited to bring you this new release of
NX I-deas. We believe it continues to move forward on the product roadmap that weve
articulated to you. Furthermore, the recent release of NX 5 is winning positive reviews
from I-deas customers worldwide, as we continue to enhance NX to exceed the
