Why do I want to go to the University of Leipzig

On January 15th, 2001, Jimmy Wales founded Wikipedia, the biggest information hub in
the whole world. It seems that everything that there is to know is right there, and if not, it
won't be long before it is. So, what's the point of going over hundreds of papers and books
to learn about a subject? Why go to a university on the other side of the world, when I can
learn about Leipzig and its 600 year university on Wikipedia?
The answer, for me at least, resides on the intellectual enrichment given by the pursuit of
knowledge. Its about curiosity. When someone seeks to know more, its inevitable to
follow that information, find out about different perspectives in order to accomplish the
never ending goal to know a bit more, to be just a bit better.
My quest for knowledge takes me to Germany on this occasion. Im particularly fascinated
about how the economic and administration theory is seen from a different perspective, by
a country that is constantly pushing the limits of whats known and how are things done.
So, why should the university of Leipzig accept me on their Exchange student program?
Because I won't settle for Wikipedia, and because I'm eager to share my own perspective
with anyone thats willing to listen to it, the kind of people that Im sure Ill find in Leipzig.
