Time for one oscillation is influenced by the length of the


rope.
B is influenced by A.
When the length of the rope increases, the time for one
oscillation is increases.
When A is increases, B will increase.
To study the relationship between the length of pendulum
and the time for one oscillation.
To study the relationship between A and B.
Manipulated variable : Length of pendulum/ l
Responding variable : Time for 20 oscillation/ t
Fixed variable
: Mass of the bob.
Brass bob, thread, retort stand, meter rule, stopwatch.
Draw a labeled diagram

Set up the apparatus as shown above.


Start the experiment with length of the pendulum l
= 10cm
Swing the pendulum and record the time for 20
complete oscillations. Find the time for one oscillation.
Repeat the experiment with l = 20cm, 30cm, 40cm,
50cm.
