City Councilmember Scott Sherman Endorses

Robert Hickey for City Attorney
City Councilmember Scott Sherman announced today his endorsement of Robert Hickey for
City Attorney. Councilmember Sherman represents district 7 and is running for reelection next
year.
The City Attorney is critical to the health of our local economy and the financial stability of our
city, says Councilmember Sherman. From prosecuting property crimes to defending financial
reforms, we rely on the leadership of the City Attorney to make San Diego run smoothly.
Robert Hickey has the experience and integrity we need in our next City Attorney. His
impressive record of managing teams of attorneys to prosecute complex criminal and civil cases
gives me the assurance that San Diego will be in good hands with Hickey as our attorney. He is
the only candidate I trust to defend financial reforms and keep San Diegans safe, he added.
Scott Sherman brings the leadership style of a small business owner to City Hall, said Hickey.
I admire his common sense approach to issues and will work hard to live up to the trust he has
placed in me.
Robert Hickey serves as Deputy District Attorney for San Diego County. He has previously held
leadership roles as Assistant Chief of the Gang Prosecution and Major Narcotics Units, and led
over 300 attorneys as the President of the Deputy District Attorneys Association. With over two
decades of legal experience in both criminal and civil cases, he has the unique qualifications to
serve as City Attorney. Hickey lives in Point Loma with his wife and two children.
