As a senior at Winthrop University majoring in integrated marketing communication, I am writing to
request information regarding possible internship opportunities with Taylor Strategy. I am interested in an
internship that enables me to combine my skills in mass communication, including advertisement and public
relations with my passion for creativity.
Much of my experience with public relations comes from the hands-on experience from the Department of
Mass Communication. I was the people coordinator for my departments fundraiser and I was able to use my
communications skills to effectively become the liaison between the class and the public. In addition, I am
involved in various organizations that allow me to implement those skills that I have learned. I have created
social media campaigns, produced press releases, and professionally presented my work for the Department
of Mass Communication. Though I do not possess direct knowledge of environmental science, I am
knowledgeable in campaign aspects which include: creating informational materials, Microsoft Office,
designing ads, and event planning.
