Dear parents, During school holidays children will usually have plenty of hours to do just-nothing and they wouldnt know how to spend their days. So, apart from the internet and TV of course, what can you do to help them is to make sure they completed this holiday homework. Encourage them to do the assignment themselves and appoint a specific time to do this homework. (Students own work will be appreciated).

Task 1: NEWSPAPER READING (Week 1)
To complete this task, you must read English newspaper daily. It will broaden your outlook and develop your language skills. 1. Cut ten newspaper articles and paste them in your scrap book. 2. Write the sources clearly. Example : The Star, Wednesday, 29th May 2015 New Straits Time, Thursday, 4th June 2015
3. Underline 10 new words in each article and look up their meaning in
the dictionary. 4. Write the words and their meaning below the article.
Task 2: DIARY ENTRY (Week 2)
1. Write two diary entries on real life situation which you faced during your school holiday. Example: Time spent with your grandparents/friends Vacation with your family 2. The diary entries must be : hand written. Not less than 100 words. (Both tasks are to be done in a scrap book and to be submitted to your respective English teacher on Sunday, 14th June 2015 before 8 a.m ).
