The Snail and the Whale

Once upon a time, there lived a tiny snail on a rock .The tiny snail spent all
its time gazing at the sea and longed to see the big wide world. One day,
the little snail came up with a brilliant idea. She left a silvery trail on the
black rock which read Lift wanted around the world.
Then, on a starry night, there came a long whale who invited the snail to
travel the world with him. The snail and the whale began their journey
across the wild sea. They passed through towering icebergs and far-off
lands with fiery mountains and golden sands. The sea waves sprayed and
splashed the snail sitting on the whale. Under the sea, there were huge
caves where they saw many striped fish.
The sky, on some days, was sunny and warm. All the different sights
amazed the tiny snail. As she gazed at all that, she felt herself to be very
small.
One fateful day, the whale lost its way. A few speed boats were racing
which caused an ear-splitting roar. All that noise confused the whale and
made him swim too close to the shore. The tide slipped away leaving the
whale and the snail on the shore. The whale was too big to move on the
land. The snail felt helpless unable to save the whale but he refused to give
up.
She crawled to the nearby school and entered a classroom. On seeing the
snail, the children shrieked in panic. Then they saw the silvery trail on the
blackboard that read Please save the whale.
The children immediately called up the fire station and rushed to the
whales rescue. The children dug a pool around the whale while the
firemen sprayed water into it keeping the whale wet and cool. Then came a
huge tide and swept the whale and the snail safely into the sea.
