Joshua Chatman

Preceptor of The Month

Joshua Chatman, or Josh as we know him,
joined the Texas Athletics Sports Medicine
Staff in 2014 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer
for Football. Prior to coming to the 40 acres,
Josh served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer
for the University of Louisville (2010-2014)
and the Miami Dolphins (2009-2010). Joshs
educational history includes a B.S. in
Kinesiology/Athletic Training from the
University of Illinois, and a M.S. in Sports
Medicine from the University of Florida.

Josh has been a light

during rotations, and
always puts us as
people over us athletic
training students. He
never fails to ask us
how we are doing, and
lighten the mood.

We had a great turnout for our Pluckers Profit share, and were fortunate
enough to raise a record $200!!

LATSA does it again! Well done to our students for getting involved
within the community. Scare for a Cure was a huge success, in helping
to set an example to the youth around us about the importance of
community service.

Guest Speaker: Gabe Perlaza

Gabe was kind enough to come and talk to us about preparing for life
after graduation. He provided our athletic training students with
valuable information, including some tips about graduate school
applications.

LATSA Hunger Games

Many have been defeated, but plenty remain. There can only be one
victor, stay tuned to see who rises to the occasion.
