THE HEN WITH THE SILVER EGG

One day, in an Arabian city, a women went to the market and bought a
beautiful hen. A few days later, to her surprise, the hen she bought laid a
silver egg. If the hen could only be persuaded to lay more than one egg each
day. The women was sure she could never have to work again. So the women
decided to make the hen eat more, so that it could lay more eggs. But the
only result was that the hen died of indigestion and did not lay more egg at
all

Suatu hari, di sebuah kota di Arab. Seorang wanita pergi ke pasar dan
membeli ayam betina yang cantik. Beberapa hari setelah itu, dia terkejut,
mengetahui ayam betina yang dia beli mengeluarkan telur perak. Jika saja
ayam betinanya bisa mengeluarkan telur yang lebih banyak tiap harinya.
Wanita tersebut sangat yakin tidak akan pernah harus bekerja lagi. Jadi
wanita itu memutuskan untuk membuat ayam betinanya makan lebih
banyak, jadi ayamnya bisa mengeluarkan telur yang lebih banyak. Tapi satusatunya hasil yang dia dapatkan hanyalah kematian ayam betinanya karena
gangguan pada pencernaan dan tidak mengeluarkan telur lagi.

could(Modal adverb) only be(to be) persuaded(verb 3) to lay(verb 1) more
than one egg(noun) each day(adverb of time). The women(S) was(to be) sure
she(S) could(modal adverb) never have to(modal adverb) work(verb 1)
again. So the women(S) decided(verb 2) to make(verb 1) the hen(O) eat(verb
1) more, so that it(S) could(modal adverb) lay(verb 1) more eggs(Noun). But
the only result was(to be) that the hen(S) died(verb 2) of indigestion(O) and
did not lay(verb 1) more egg(noun) at all.
