REPORT- 2MINS

Hi Abi, Im here at an ACLT

registration drive at the City of
Westminster College with these
lovely volunteers who are urging
college students today, to become
donors themselves and try to raise
awareness about a very important
cause- Leukemia, and not only that.

Every minute of every day someone
out there needs blood for life saving
treatments. Shockingly, just 1% of
current blood donors are Black.
There are currently 600 black people
awaiting an organ transplant.
Statistics show that each year about
1000 people (thats about three
people per day) die awaiting an
organ transplant.

Now Ive got here one of the co-
founders of ACLT, Beverley De-Gale,
who through this charity, has helped
raise awareness and recruit new
potential bone marrow and blood
donors, just like today.

So tell me Beverley, what does ACLT
stand for and how was this charity
formed?

[ANSWER]

Thats incredible. So what is your
main aim of todays donor drive?

[ANSWER]

And Im sure you will accomplish
your goal today.

[TO VOLUNTEERS]

So girls/guys, why is it so important
that people register today?

[ANSWER]

And just to be curious, what is the
process of finding their match?
[ANSWER]

[SHOW PROCESS OF GIVING SALIVA
SAMPLE]

Would I be able to register as well?

[ANSWER]

-(IF YES) Great! Where do I sign
up?!

[ANSWER]

It was an honor being part of one of
your donor drives, today, thank you
very much. Back to you at the studio,
Abi.
