Deciphering the topic


Ask the following questions;
- What are the key words or elements of the image?
- What does the topic/image(s) suggest?
- Which different ways can you interpret and respond to the
topic/image(s)?

Devising your Statement of Intention


Your Statement of Intention discusses the objective, purpose and
audience of, and in preface to, your context piece. This must outline
how you have interpreted the topic and how you will respond to it.

Planning and writing you context piece


Ask the following questions;
- In which writing style can you best respond to the
topic/image(s)?
- Will your response allow you to show a deep and thoughtful
exploration of the topic/image(s)?
- What evidence and examples can you bring in to support your
response?
- Will your response be strong and thorough?
- Can your present your piece in a way that will enhance your
response?

- Does your finished piece marry with your original objective,
purpose and audience?
- Have you responded to the topic/image(s) effectively?
- Have you used appropriate language to enhance your work?
- Have written with accurate spelling, punctuation and
paragraphing?
