Konsepto Filmmaking Workshop under Director Sigfried Barros Sanchez. He is the director of award-winning films Huling Biyahe, Tsardyer, and Ang Mga Kidnapper ni Ronnie Lazaro. He is also known as writer for television (Dahil sa Pag-ibig, Growing Up, Green Rose etc.) and films (Kilabot at Kembot, Prosti, Ang Anak ni Brocka etc.). As a final requirement, I will co-direct a short film on the 2 nd week of July. The film which I co-wrote with Sarah Jane Biton, is based on the interview of farmer Raymond Manalo about the two abducted students of the University of the Philippines during the time of witch hunt under Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan. The cast will be composed of veteran actors Epy Quizon, Ms. Lui Manansala, Rener Concepcion and Raul Morit, and members of urban poor community-based cultural group Sining Kadamay. I have been a human rights advocate for years and this will be my debut on using the medium of film on my advocacy. I intend to submit the film to various film festivals and organize viewings in different schools and communities, to reach the broadest number of audience. With this, I am asking for financial grant from Project Space Pilipinas to produce the film. The total estimated fund needed is Php 20,000.00.
