Record found items into the log book


Ensure that the date, item found and name of the person are registered
Ensure that proper signature and verification are done in the log book
Store the found items at designated place. Ensure that the supervisor is

accompanied by the someone who act as a witness

Procedure for Room Assistant


1) Ensure that the standard of service and cleanliness are kept high at minimum
standard set by the management to encourage business through repeat customers
2) Ensure that communications with the guest are regularly maintained
3) Comments and feedbacks are considered and communicated to the supervisor so
that the standard of service can be upgraded
4) To attend the guest request within standard time

Orientation and training procedures


1) General
Ensure that all new staff go through general and job orientation conducted
by executive housekeeper / housekeeper or qualified supervisor
Upon completion of the orientation, ensure that a buddy is identified to
assist or provide guidance
Head department or supervisor must acknowledge the orientation checklist
to confirm that the employee was trained on each particular job function

The staff have to sign the checklist to confirm that he or she was trained
and knew how to execute the job
At any one time if an employee is required to assist or perform different
task, the Head Department has to ensure that employee has to complete
the orientation checklist of particular job function
If and employee made a mistake while executing a job and she or he was
not properly trained on certain job function, Head Department and the
supervisor should be accountable for that mistakes
