Pupils may dress up for Halloween this Friday the 23rd
of October if they wish. We ask they pupils wear the
school uniform or tracksuit under their costumes. We
also ask that pupils do not wear make-up or hair colour
and that knives, swords or any other instruments are not
brought into school. We hope that all the children have
an enjoyable day.

The school will be closing on Friday the 23rd of October
for the mid-term break at 2pm for Infants and 3pm for all
other classes. It will re-open on Monday the 2nd of
November.

We recently started Food Dudes in the school. All parents
have signed a permission slip which allows their child to
participate. This is a programmewhich is financed
by Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine and the
European Union through the School Fruit Scheme. It is
managed by Bord Bia. It has been very successful in
promoting healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle with

A new heating system will be installed in the school
shortly. Work has already commenced on this new
system. It will be fully operational after the midterm break. Two new resource rooms and a staff
carpark will also be built shortly. Work is expected to
start on this during the mid-term break. It means
that there will be extra traffic around the school at
all times. We ask that parents do not park

There have been a number of near accidents in the
recent past and those have been as a result of people
parking in the wrong places. We ask that all parents
and those collecting or dropping children to school
would please remember that an extra few minutes of
careful parking may prevent an accident.
