English Language Arts

This week in ELA we will be reviewing parts of
a story, including looking at symbolism, themes
and language.
We will also be continuing with the writing
process, practicing writing for entertainment
and opening and closing sentences.

Mathematics

In Math this week we will be reviewing
scientific notation, and moving on to negative
numbers. Students will learn to add and
subtract negative numbers. There will be a
quiz on this at the end of the week.

Science

Social Studies

HACE

We will be moving further on
in our ecosystems unit. This
week we will be reviewing
biotic and abiotic things and
learning about decomposers
and composting.

We will be wrapping up our
Mesopotamia unit this week.
Students will work in groups
to review what we have
learned, and will practice
and present their
information. Skills will be
tested.

In HACE this week, we will
be looking at setting
personal goals. We will be
looking at what is needed to
graduate with the BC
diploma, and what we need
to do to be successful.

Student Council will be starting this week. Check

Homework Schedule

Homework will go home on Sunday,
Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure your
students are getting it finished, it will be
checked and count for marks!
