History
Wrigleyville, contained within the larger
community of Lakeview, is a neighborhood
established
around
Wrigley
Field.
Lakeview, one of the larger Chicago
neighborhoods,
was
established
as
Lakeview Township in 1857. Lakeview was
legally recognized as its own city in 1887
before being annexed into the city of
Chicago by popular vote in 1889. Wrigley
Field, built in 1914, encouraged the growth
of the neighborhood around it, which
came to be known as Wrigleyville.

Mackenzies Reflection
The baseball field is very central to
the community. There are many
stores dedicated to baseball
merchandise.
All the houses in the neighborhood
have #FlytheW in their windows-its eight square miles of people
who really like the Cubs.
Despite this being a notable
Chicago landmark, I never thought
of visiting until this trip.
