    Meeting Minutes

    Tuesday October 20, 2015


    Meeting began at 7:02 P.M.
    There were 18 members in attendance.
    The Secretarys report was read and an error was corrected to. Change the
    Christmas party venue from the Albany Town Hall to the Tin Mountain Center.
    The Treasurers report was read and accepted.
    Old Business:
    -

    Club member Tammy is ill and a card and donation was sent in the clubs name.
    A report of the Emmons Field trip held on Sunday the 18th indicated that 9
    members attended. It was a 4 wheel drive challenge to get there but once there
    one could park right at the dig site. It was cold but at least there was no wind.
    Jon indicated that the final trip of the season could be held at a dig site across from
    his home. If there is any interest be at his house on Saturday the 31st at 9:00am.
    Jon also gave a report on the coming Auction. He will be setting up on Friday
    afternoon at 3:00 pm and would be happy to get some help. He also mentioned
    that the Auction is being advertised in several of the rock and mineral publications.

    New Business:
    -

    Marlene is still looking for members to apply for the new officer positions that has
    opened up. Paul will be stepping down as the Secretary next year so that position
    really needs to be filled.
    Dick would like to add two more positions to the Board. Jon made a motion to
    accept but the By-Laws indicate that individuals can be appointed without a formal
    vote from the members.
    Bob gave a report on the Fair. Two new members joined and several more
    expressed interest in joining.
    Bob indicated that there is a microscope available for sale for $300 if the club is
    interested in purchasing it. Charlie said that he had one and would like to donate it
    to the club and possibly have it entered as an Auction item.
    Bob will be looking into storage again at Tin Mountain to store club items that can
    be shared by the members.
    Jon indicated that Paul Gaudette was injured during an ATV trip with Jon and is
    recovering.

    Meeting adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
