Week of: October 5th- 9th

Superkids
This week we are finishing up with
Oswald. We have been writing,
reading, making words, rhyming words,
and sounding words out to hear how
many sounds there are. All three
classes are really excited to meet the
next character.

Library Books

Please make sure to send your childs

book back on the right day:
Humble- Tuesday
Stamm- Wednesday
Jump- Thursday

Scholastic Books
Not only are Scholastic Book prices
the best you will find, but they are
also a wonderful way to support your
childs classroom. Please keep them in
mind for birthday gifts and holidays.
You can share with grandparents,
friends and family.

Math
We are all still working on number
writing. Please use the number writing
poems that are on the reverse side of
this weeks newsletter. Please
reinforce this at home, the more
practice the better.
This week Mrs. Strong, our math TA,
started working with children one-onone for math assessments. Which
included counting, counting objects,
simple addition and number
recognition. This is a check in to see
where children are with these skills
and to help us with our instruction.

Upcoming Events
No school Monday October 12
Family Teacher Conference DaysNovember 19 and 20 will be half days
for students. They will leave school at
11:00. Teachers will be meeting with
families on those afternoons. Look for
a sign up sheet in your childs folder
soon.
