and folded in half. This size will fit in a standard 4"x6" invitation envelope.
4"x6" Invitation envelopes are actually 4.75"x6.5", so it will fit.
9. Glue the bottom of one side of the cake between the two folds as shown.
Make sure you do not glue above the fold line.
10. Attach the cake to the card backing at the fold. (The glue is facing toward
the card backing in this image)
11. Apply glue to the bottom of the
exposed side of the cake between
the two folds. Be careful not to
glue above the fold line. Then close
the card to make sure the cake
aligns to the card backing correctly.
12. Apply glue to the candle at the top
of the cake.
13. Fold the card closed so that both
sides of the candle are closed. Open the card and make sure that the
candles are aligned to each other.
14. Cut out the template for the frosting and cake top. Choose the colors you
would like to use.
15. Fold the card stock for the frosting in half so you can cut 2 pieces out at
once. Tape the template to the card stock and cut out the frosting.
16. Fold the card stock for the cake top in half so
you can cut 2 pieces out at once. Tape the
template to the card stock and cut out the
cake top.
17. Cut out the candles using the template.
18. Glue the candle to the card, covering the
original candle.
19. Glue the cake top to the card.
20. Glue the frosting to the card. Now your card is
finished.
