Soil and Plant Scientist

Plant and Soil Science is my goal and my interests in becoming.There are many
questions to being an Agricultural Scientist like what do they do, where you can get the
education needed to pursue my carrier, and how much do you make annually. I will answer all
these questions you might have, so I can help anyone that might have an interest in the same
carrier as me. Being a Plant and Soil Scientist is what i would like to be when i grow up.
The job of a Plant and Soil scientist is a job that is very demanding depending on your
location. In the location I am in is Salinas California and there is plenty of work in this area
because of the mass amount of agriculture. What we would mainly do is we manage soil for
crop production. To do this, we conduct soil surveys, measure the characteristics of the soil, and
assess available nutrients and water levels. We would also be giving advice regarding the
capabilities and limitation of soils for various applications, including watershed rehabilitations
projects , transportation planning, and recreation development. Ass you can see the hob of a
Soil and Plant scientist is not an easy task.
There are several places to get an education for a Plant and Soil scientist career. One
great university to get a great education for a Plant and Soil is to attend the California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona. Another great university is the University Of California,
Davis.As you can see there is a variety of Universities witch you are able to attent if you are
considering a carrer in Plan and Soil Scince.
The Career of a Plant and Soil Scientist is not easy but can pay very well. The annual
income for a Plant and Soil Scientist can be very low which can be $17.27 an hour which can
come out to $35.920 a year or the high amount which can come out to $48.20 an hour and
$100.440 a year. As you can see it shows you the lowest amount of pat to the highest amount of
pay. It all depends on how well you perform your job and on the quality of the job done. All in all,
Plant and Soil Science is a great career with a good income of money.
