New Board Elected

Southern Oregon Winery Association
has grown to include more than 60 wineries.

Southern Oregon, March 19, 2010: The Southern Oregon Winery Association has elected

several new board members for 2010. The new members include: President, Chris Martin of Troon
Vineyard; Cal Schmidt of Schmidt Winery; Jolee Wallace of Del Rio Vineyard and Winery; Kim
Kinderman, Agate Ridge Winery. They will join current board members Ruth Garvin, Cliff Creek Cellars
– Vice President; Mark Wisnovsky, Valley View Winery – Secretary; Lelo Kerivan, Bridgeview
Vineyards – Treasurer. Each member is elected for a two year term.
“It is truly an exciting time to be part of the Southern Oregon wine industry. Our member wineries
have continued to increase and they are receiving lots of awards and accolades.” said Martin. “I am
honored to have the opportunity to head this organization. I see nothing but continued growth and

prosperity.” He further commented “Southern Oregon and all its natural beauty and attractions make it
a premier vacation destination and the proliferation of wineries only adds to the draw.” Sunset
Magazine agrees, as they named Southern Oregon as one of their top destinations to visit in 2010--

even going so far as to proclaim Napa “then” and Southern Oregon “now”.
The Southern Oregon Winery Association was originally formed in 1990. The organization serves
to promote wineries and wines from the Southern Oregon region, which includes the American
Viticulture Areas (AVA) of the Applegate Valley, Rogue Valley, and Umpqua Valley. They are involved
in the World of Wine event, Southern Oregon Wine Road Show, brochure, wine bottle bags and many
other promotional aspects.
