Reading- We will be reviewing the reason we pick different books to read, which direction we read in, how many words
are in the sentence, and matching the first sound of the word with the picture. We are also working on rhyming words by
reading and listening to nursery rhymes. We are practicing our Daily 5 routine and procedures.
Writing- We are working on writing like a scientist.

Math- We are continuing to work on one-t0-one correspondence when counting objects up to 10 and writing them. We are
working on adding one more.

Social Studies- We are working on the difference between needs and wants.
Science- We are learning about weather.
I hope you had a wonderful track out!

Notes From Mrs. Willis

Daily
Schedule

**Homework will be starting next week.**

You received a calendar today that shows the week that your child will be the student of
the week so dont forget to mark that down. I also included a calendar that lets you know
when your child can bring in something to share. Please mark the date(s) down too.

Remember in their green take home folder there will be two library pockets one for a note
if your child had a great day and one with the rule your child was consistently having a
difficult time following. If your child receives a note home explaining the rule that
he/she needs more practice with, please go over this with your child at home and stress
the importance of it and sign it so that the student can return it the next day.

Field trip dates: Ganyard Farm-October 29, NC Science Museum with Discovery Room
program-February 4th, Bluejay Point May 12

Please remember to pack a healthy snack each day for your child.
