ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

Guilford County
Department of Health and Human Services
The Program Manager oversees Guilford Countys environmental health
program including epidemiology, food, lodging, pool, site and facility
inspections as well as soil and water quality testing and inspections. This
position also provides for and oversees the Animal Control Program and
works closely with the animal shelter and animal groups throughout the
community. This position is an integral part of the Public Health Executive
Team who plan and develop short and long range goals as well as the
direction for Public Health in the Guilford County community.
Minimum qualifications: Graduation from a four-year accredited college or
university with a bachelors or postgraduate degree in Public Health,
Environmental Health, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Epidemiology, Geology,
Hydrogeology, Industrial Hygiene, with a minimum of thirty (30) semester
hours in the physical and/or biological sciences, and seven (7) years of
supervisory/managerial leadership experience with an agency in the field of
environmental health relating to the position, five (5) years of which must
have been with a public health agency. Must be registered by the North
Carolina State Board of Sanitarian Examiners.
Hiring Range: $64,042 - $86,456 annually
