The theme is merry not scary. We have a school-wide policy that weapons of any kind
will not be allowed in the parade or at parties. While we realize that some costumes
come with these items, we ask that they stay at home. Thank You! Also, parents and
siblings are welcome to attend our Halloween Party as long as you have a background
check on file with the office. Please meet us outside as we will have a parade around
the walking track before we start our party in the room.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
All students are invited to wear PINK on Monday in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. Lets make it a PINK OUT with 100% participation!

Autism Awareness and Friendship Lessons

This week we watched: Sesame Street and Autism: A Sibling Story. I

have shared it on my Facebook page, if you would like to view it! I
thought it gave a great and unique perspective of autism to the students
that they could build their compassion and understanding for oneanother
upon. We also had the school social worker, Mrs. Carpenter, come in and
read: My Friend with Autism to the class. We partnered up, discussed
what being a friend looks like and practiced being kind. We also
discussed the idea that everyone is special and unique!
