How can the Solar Plexus region be protected from vampirism which causes the lack

of desire to resist? This is a field of occult research for the future.

The use of physical devices may be effective if they produce material or forces which
are etheric in nature. The possibility of using ionising equipment in the umbilical area
suggests itself.

Any disturbance in the etheric field of man will set up repercussions in the astral body.
The electron is the basic unit of the first plane of the etheric and ionised particles are
representative of the lowest subplane of the etheric (see pages 46/48). Negative ions
have long been known to be therapeutic for man in many fields, especially in very
sensitive conditions like asthma which have psychosomatic relationships. The advent and
development of Kirlian photography by the Russians has shown man to have "a bio-
plasmic body" : -

•"As if there issued forth from canals in the skin, cold powerful flames,
furiously flashing solar prominences, an entire herd of "amoeba-like"
lights crept from place to place, then formed into one blazing bonfire,
then divided into pieces again."

"A fire world."

"Radiance like the Aurora Borealis."

These words were used by a group of Soviet scientists to describe a

phenomenon they had just witnessed : it was the human body, seen in a
field of high-frequency electrical currents.

The Russians claim they have discovered a new form of energy -a

biological energy, different from mechanical, magnetic, or electrical
forms; the term they have coined for it is "bio-plasma." They
postulate the existence of a "bio-plasma body", which interpenetrates the
physical body, and which they feel may be the underlying pattern which
determines its physical shape.*
