News

Religion: We talked about the different ways we


welcome people that we meet. We are learning
about the Sacrament of Baptism as a welcome into
the Catholic family. We are working on our prayer
manners each day. We attended the Feast Day
Mass for St. Viator on Wednesday. Some children
carried signs and some read the petitions. We also
colored a picture of him.
Reading: This week we read a poem in our reading
text. We read some funny poems written for
children. We wrote our own poems titled SuperDuper Me. We are learning about the er sound
and the three different sounds for the ending ed.
Language Arts: We drew monsters and began
working on our Monster Playhouse stories. We are
also learning about compound words, proper
nouns, and contractions

day of the week.

each week.
*We are going to the 8:15 AM Mass on
Wednesday. We will not have gym
class on Wednesday.
*Bring your costume to school on
Friday.

Education next week!

Math: We completed chapter two in our text. We


started the next chapter. We will focus on using
different strategies to solve addition problems.
Using geometric shapes, we created witches flying
on broomsticks.
Science: We completed the chapter about plants.
Everyone took home their lima bean plants on
Friday..

Star Students
Sofia is our star. She brought
some her favorite dolls, photos
and books to share with us. Her
mom and dad were our guest
readers on Thursday.
Jose is one of our stars this
week. His mom was our guest
reader. She read one of his
favorite books to us. She told
us about Joses trip to Texas
this summer.
Their star posters are
displayed in our room.
