DRESS PROPERLY
Before you walk out the
oor, make sure to:
Dress warmly and stay
dry. Wear several laye
of loose:fiting clothing, and
‘make sure your face, mouth,
andihands are covered. Keep
yourself dry with a wat
resistant coat and boots.
Choose proper foot-
wear. Viearing safe,
slip-resistant footwear can
prevent slips, trips and falls,
especially nicy conditions,
Pay attention to your
body. Prolonged expo-
sure tocold temperatures
can cause hypothermia,
Pay attention to the symp:
toms: shwering, exhaustion,
contusion, fumbling hands,
memory loss, slurred speech,
and drowsiness. Ifa person's
body temperature drops
below 95 degrees Fahrenhett,
get assistance immediately,
Spending time outside may
also lead to frostbite. Frostbit-
